Destination Covered : Cochin (Kochi) - Munnar - Alleppey (Alappuzha) – Kovalam - Trivandrum (Thiruvananthapuram)
Day 1 - Arrival in Cochin
You will meet our representative at Cochin Airport or the Railway Station. After the introduction, you will be taken to the hotel. After checking in at the hotel, rest for a while. This will be followed by lunch and sightseeing tour across the Cochin Harbour to the Fort Cochin.
Here, you can visit the region's prime attractions such as the oldest European church in India, Francis Church which was constructed in 1503. The Dutch Palace, also known as Mattancherry Palace is one of a kind attraction which is famed for its brilliant work of murals and portraits. You can also take a walk along the oldest and still active Jewish Synagogue or Paradesi Synagogue. This Jewish Synagogue is used even today. In the evening, special Kathakali dance will be performed for your entertainment.
This will be followed by an overnight stay in Cochin.
Day 2 - Cochin - Munnar
The next day, you will be driven to Munnar after a hearty breakfast. This is one of the scenic hill stations in Kerala. Throughout the ride, you will be able to get a spectacular sight of the tea plantations that are dotted all around the Cardamom hills.
On arrival, check in at the Tree House Resort and start your exciting treehouse experience. This unique tree house stay in Munnar gives you a chance to be closer to nature. It is built on a platform of the tree trunk and branches. Due to the rooms built a few feet above the ground, it makes the accommodation adventurous. The resort is well-appointed and is equipped with modern amenities.
The rest of the day you can spend at leisure and enjoy the surrounding greenery. You can also explore the surroundings at your own pace.
This will be followed by an overnight stay at the Tree House in Munnar, Kerala.
Day 3 - Munnar
Day 3 is scheduled for sightseeing around Munnar. The sightseeing list includes attractions such as Mattupetty Dam. It is a concrete gravity dam built on a Lake with peaceful surrounding with lush forests, Shola ranges and lofty hills.
After exploring Mattupetty Dam, you will be driven to the Old Munnar Town. This part of the town beguiles you with amazing attractions and viewpoints. Each viewpoint offers different angles of the hill town. Another place to visit is the Town Market which is a vibrant shopping area which sells almost everything.
Afterward, brace yourself for an exciting wildlife safari. Eravikulam National Park is located along the Western Ghats. This national park is home to the endangered Nilgiri Tahr. Besides this, you can also visit the Indo-Swiss dairy farm popular for the cattle farming spreading across 191 hectares on a lush land. You can find over 400 high-quality cattle including breeding bulls and cows.
After the tour, you will be driven to the tree house accommodation where you will spend the night.
Day 4 - Munnar - Alleppey (By Houseboat)
The next day, after checking out from the Kerala treehouse you will be driven to the hub of the backwaters of Kerala at the enchanting destination of Alleppey. This backwater destination is also known as Alappuzha. On reaching, you can check in at the beautiful Kettuvallam or a houseboat. The houseboat is equipped with all the necessary facilities you may need during your stay. You will have a delightful staycation cruising along the backwater. There are several canal routes that offer mesmerizing sights of paddy fields and many other interesting sights.
You will be spending a night on the Kettuvallam or a houseboat.
Day 5 - Alleppey - Kovalam
After having breakfast on the houseboat, you will disembark from it and will be driven to another enchanting coastal destination of Kerala, Kovalam. Located near Thiruvananthapuram, the capital of Kerala, Kovalam is a stunning coastal beach town which offers soothing ambiance and peaceful vacation. This place is known for the crescent-shaped beach comprising of three beaches known as Lighthouse Beach, Samudra beach, and Hawa beach.
On arrival, you can check in at the beach resort and rest or explore the surrounding area on your own.
This will be followed by an overnight stay.
Day 6 - Kovalam
You will be taken for a sightseeing tour around Kovalam. The sight included is the famous Padmanabha Swamy temple. This beautiful temple is built in a lovely Dravidian style of architecture. It is dedicated to the Hindu God, Vishnu.
Next, you will be taken to the Veli Tourist Village which is a lovely family place ideal for picnics and even boating. This attraction has a Children's park as well as a floating café. The Museum Complex located here is a favorite amongst adults as well as kids. It also has the Science and Technology Museum which was founded by the Govt. in 1984 as well as a study cum recreation center.
One of the famous beaches here is the Shangmugham Beach which has a few other attractions, as well as Akkulam boat club. It is here you can indulge in recreational activities like boating.
After the tour, you will be driven back to Kovalam for an overnight stay.
Day 7 - Kovalam - Trivandrum
On the last day of the tour, you will be driven to either Trivandrum Airport or the Railway Station to board your flight or train for your onward journey.
